NEWS/PR: R&C Management Kicks Off Elmira High School Athletics Construction Projects at Fern Ridge School District
R&C Management Group is excited to officially kick off the Elmira High School Athletics Construction Projects at Fern Ridge School District! This milestone marks the beginning of an important phase in improving athletic facilities for students and the broader community, ensuring long-lasting benefits for generations to come.
Our partnership with Fern Ridge School District began long before construction. R&C was proud to assist the district in pre-bond facility assessments and long-range facility planning, as part of the ODE TAP grant and OSCIM program requirements, all part of laying the foundation for a successful bond measure. With the community’s support and the bond measure secured, we are honored to now bring these construction projects to life.
The Elmira High School Athletics Projects are a testament to the district’s commitment to enhancing student experiences and investing in high-quality educational and extracurricular facilities. These improvements will provide students with upgraded spaces to train, compete, and build lifelong skills in a safe and modern environment.
As we begin work on-site, the first steps include implementing erosion control measures and installing temporary fencing to ensure the work area remains safe and secure. These initial efforts are critical in maintaining environmental responsibility and protecting students, workers, and the surrounding community as construction progresses.
Scott Rose, Senior Project Manager at R&C Management Group, shared his enthusiasm as the project transitions from planning to action: “It’s an incredible feeling to see the hard work of pre-bond planning, community engagement, and post bond project planning start to come to fruition. Putting up the active construction site/sign is a proud moment—it means we’re officially underway in making these improvements a reality!”
Project Update!
We’re excited to share that construction is progressing smoothly at Elmira High School! The largest subcontract for the Athletics Project was awarded to Delta Sand & Gravel, a local firm with strong ties to the community. With demolition and track stripping complete, earth moving is now underway, marking a major step forward in the transformation of the athletic facilities. It’s great to see local partnership in action as we continue to build momentum on this impactful project.
